Position Summary:
|
Position will focus on multi cultural marketing efforts; specifically, Hispanic and African American Communities. Position is based out of corporate headquarters in Woonsocket, RI (minutes away from Providence, RI).

Job Description:
|
- Ability to develop a fact based understanding of competitive landscape, consumer preferences, and unmet needs
- Understanding of current organizational capabilities required to win customers from a product and service perspective
- Develop and implement approach to update company image and build a strong organization to move this area to a core competency for company
- Ability to drive sales results via acquisition of increased Hispanic market share in both front store and pharmacy.
- Ability to drive measureable results for corporate reputation in African American markets and organizations.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer, purchase drive, and market potential which will result in a defined set of initiatives to be deployed across the organization
- Proven ability to navigate in a complex organization and drive cross-functional implementation of initiatives, resulting in increased market penetration
- Ability to create thought leadership and a proactive vision to facilitate greater management focus in identifying strategies to capture market share from multi cultural communities
- Formalize customer target and influencer targets, establishing measure of success, formulating marketing tactics, directing media strategy, building extensions to current marketing strategy that address various cultures, and coordinate with PR, Merchandising, Legal, and Field
- Assess organizational structure and maximize effectiveness
- Must possess a clear understanding of organization articulation of 2009 plan, secure enrollment, triage leveraging of existing marketing strategies for 2010, activate 3 year plan, formalize partners, program growth and continuity, increase acquired scripts per dollar invested

Requirements:
|
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred
- 10 plus years of service industry marketing experience
- Experience building successful marketing programs and promotions targeted at diverse customer segments in major metropolitan centers
- A proven ability to work cross functionally to leverage enterprise wide capabilities
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, project management and formal presentation skills
- Experience in developing strong agency relations
